From the first question to reviewer follow-up
Which facts should be preserved?
Keep the underlying contract, invoice, calculation, transaction record, and relevant correspondence. Add a signed proof for the supported official reference rate used in the calculation.
Why do the source and selected date matter?
A number without its publication and date can be difficult to reconstruct after the event. The source and date show which official reference-rate record the calculation relied on.
What can another person verify?
A recipient can inspect the source and rate context, validate the embedded digital signature, and use the document id and payload hash shown in the PDF on the public check page.
Why may a saved link or screenshot leave questions?
A page may change, and a screenshot may omit the dataset, date, or surrounding publication context. A signed proof preserves the selected source data and verification details with the original file.
What does the document not decide?
The proof does not decide which contractual term applies, whether a calculation is legally correct, or who is liable. Those questions remain with the parties and their professional advisers.
Why does acceptance depend on the recipient and procedure?
A court, authority, customer, auditor, or other recipient may apply its own evidence rules. FXProof provides a dated, source-attributed proof and verification path; it does not guarantee evidential acceptance or a dispute outcome.

Can I keep an FXProof document with a dispute file?
Yes. Keep it with the calculation and underlying business records when the selected official reference rate may need to be explained later.
Does FXProof decide which rate should govern a contract?
No. FXProof documents the supported official source and date you selected. Contract interpretation and source choice remain outside FXProof.
Is this legal advice or guaranteed court evidence?
No. FXProof does not provide legal advice or guarantee acceptance by a court, authority, or other recipient.
