Verifiable exchange-rate evidence for business records

Keep source attribution, selected date, document id, payload hash, and public verification together.

Exchange-rate evidence

Know what to do when no rate was published on the selected date

A document date can fall on a weekend, holiday, or another day when the chosen source did not publish an observation. FXProof helps you keep proof for the official reference input you select; it does not choose the previous, next, or other allowed date for you.

FXProof static proof sample preview

Signed FXProof Proof PDF from European Central Bank. This is a static example; readiness for a generated proof depends on the concrete dataset and date.

Start with the date in the business record

Keep the invoice, payment, tax record, close file, or policy note that explains why a date matters. That date is the requested date in your business file, even if the official source did not publish a rate on that exact day.

Check whether the chosen source published that day

Some sources publish working-day observations, period rates, or another schedule. If there is no observation on the requested date, record the publication pattern instead of hiding the gap.

FXProof should not silently turn a weekend date into a different date. The proof belongs to the supported source and observation you selected.

Use the available date your rule allows

Your policy, adviser, contract, tax rule, or reviewer decides whether the previous business day, next business day, period rate, or another date is appropriate. Keep that reasoning in the workpaper or business file.

Keep the proof with the explanation

Attach the Signed FXProof Proof PDF to the record that used the selected observation. The proof keeps the source attribution, selected date, rate context, digital signature, document id, payload hash, and verification details together.

Know the boundary before you share it

FXProof documents the selected official reference input. It does not provide legal, tax, accounting, or investment advice, and it does not guarantee recipient acceptance for a missing-date decision.

Questions

Does FXProof choose the previous or next business day?

No. Your rule, adviser, contract, or reviewer decides which available date applies. FXProof documents the supported source and date you selected.

Can a proof show that no rate was published on the requested date?

The proof records the selected official observation and its source context. Keep the missing-date explanation in the workpaper or business file.

What should I keep with a weekend-date record?

Keep the business record, the reason for the selected available date, and the Signed FXProof Proof PDF used to support the calculation.

Keep the proof with the file that used the rate

Inspect a static sample first, then use an account when you need a proof bundle for a concrete dataset and date.
